Abdul Rahman Majeed Al-Rubaie is an Iraqi author born in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah on 12 August 1939. He was educated at King Faisal School in Nasiriyah. He entered the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and took a university degree in fine arts.
He began publishing in Iraqi and Arab newspapers, he published his first collection (Sword and Ship) in 1966, and oversaw the editing of the cultural page in the New Anbar Newspaper and The New Dawn. He practiced teaching, journalism and diplomatic work in Lebanon and Tunisia. He worked as an Iraqi press adviser in Beirut between 1983 and 1985, and was an ember of the Iraqi Writers' Union, the Journalists' Union of Iraq, and the Association of Fine Artists in Iraq.
He wrote a number of stories, novels, and poems and published several studies.
