Hayil Ali Al-Madhabi, born in 12 May 1983. He studied Arabic literature in the Department of Arabic language at the Faculty of Arts in Sana'a University from 2003 till 2007. He received a diploma in Editing and Filmmaking at the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo in 2018. Hayil is a member of Yemeni Writers Union and Yemeni Story Club. He won the President of The Republic Award for Story in 2009 for his first collection titled A City of Wax and won the Lebanon International Al-Numan Award in The Art of Story in 2011. He also published a poetry diwan entitled Wateries (Ma’eyat) and a novel entitled Missing Memories (Theekriat Mafquda).
